Gershom Sikaala was born and raised in Zambia, in Southern Africa. As a young teenager he received God's purpose for his life and began preaching at the age of 15. Gershom is also one of the core founders of the Zambikes Company, sister company to the U.S based Akerfa, which works to overcome the poverty in Africa by creating jobs and in the past has micro-financed small businesses in Zambia. He is also involved in uplifting social community projects in South Africa, such as feeding programs, mercy ministries, and shoe distribution projects. In 2010, Gershom was also working with YWAM as the Global prayer coordinator for the World Cup.
Gershom has been involved in the motion picture industry and has touched lives through that media. He did voiceover acting in an African movie production: 'Faith Like Potatoes'. He also starred in a documentary movie as an influential young man during the 2006 World Cup Soccer games in Germany.
Gershom is currently based in Cape Town South Africa and the Central Coast of California in the United States of America. Gershom Sikaala travels extensively all over the world wherever he is called to share the love of God, crossing all barriers: denominational, cultural, ethnic and socioeconomic.
