Lee Tuley first experienced Rolfing in her twenties after having years of back pain that did not respond to any mainstream or alternative treatments. Not only did Rolfing completely resolve her back troubles, but she had fallen in love with the work. In 1988 she became Certified after studying in the US and Europe with some of the most respected people in the field (Peter Melchior and Emmett Hutchins to name two). Lee is also a Registered Clinical Counselor (similar to a marriage and family counselor), and has over 35 years experience as a counselor, body-worker and group leader.

Come Alive with Rolfing, What it Achieves and How it Works
Rolfing Results: The body moves with greater ease and flexibility, requiring less energy to function. Good posture is effortless, balance and co-ordination improves, and breathing is easier. People often appear taller and slimmer. Some actually gain anywhere from 1/4” to over 1 inch in height. Clients talk about a feeling of lightness, fluidity, and increased energy, while complaints of bad backs, hips, necks, shoulders, or knees disappear.
While Rolfing is primarily concerned with physical changes in the body, it affects the whole person. Emotions, attitudes, and behavior patterns are bound up in the physical being so that aligning the physical structure opens up an individual’s potential, energy, and feelings of well being. Clients report less stress, greater self-confidence, and an improved ability to handle life’s challenges.
Rolfing changes a body’s structure, affecting the whole person - physically, emotionally, and energetically. Rolfing focuses not on the bones or muscles, but on their protective coverings, called fascia. It’s what literally gives the body its shape and structure. The continuing pull of gravity, the stress of daily activities, and physical injuries impact the fascia and can pull the body out of alignment, creating stiffness, discomfort, loss of energy, and loss of function. Rolfing returns the body to its original design of structurally optimal postures and movement.
It’s been said that getting Rolfed is like turning the clock back 15 years.
